Q3: In my ideal classroom, I'd describe technology as an assistant tool to help foster and engage students in their learning. It wouldn't be entirely centered around tech, but rather, thoughtful and innovative when appropriate. #MCTechSavvy2

Q2: Padlet helps impact thinking because it offers a space where students can see and connect to other classmates' ideas. It gives them time to reflect before immediately answering, and allows the space for students to contribute thoughtfully to other students. #MCTechSavvy2

Q1: The collab tool I've found most effective with students is Padlet. I love that I can see their thoughts and respond to them in real-time. There are so many different layouts on Padlet, too. It's great for a quick check-in before or after a lesson! #MCTechSavvy2

Classroom culture can be built upon weekly discussion prompts, where students are encouraged to share good news and interact with one another as a ‘safe’ form of social media.This helps build rapport &create a positive environment to celebrate even the smallest wins #MCtechsavvy

Questions to consider when integrating tech into instruction: do students already know how to use this platform? Why is this the best method? How can I collect and use the data to improve learning? #MCtechsavvy

Technology, when used appropriately can have instrumental effects on the learning process; it increases engagement and accessibility, which also deepens knowledge through exposure. Students learn how to be media educated for a world that is plugged-in 24/7. #MCtechsavvy

#MCtechsavvy I rely on technology every day in my classroom; students use their Chromebooks to access our class pageand Google drive etc. Most writing assignments are completed in a Google Doc, so I can easily access student work and they can share it with partners
