Why limit tax relief to buses and trains? MPI is proposing a Sustainable Travel Wallet - a digital way for employees to use tax-free income on a wide range of transport: taxis, e-bikes, car shares and more. Let’s support how people actually move today.

Bike hire and short-term car rental are sustainable options but they’re taxed at 13.5%. MPI is calling for a cut to 9% VAT to make shared transport more affordable for more people. At a time when public transport is at capacity, we must support all sustainable options.
