Monticello Panthers Baseball

No district game today. We will now play Monday at 5 PM.

Panthers fall to Beckman in our day game 6-3. We play Maquoketa on Monday and will do senior night in between games.

Panthers drop both games tonight to Northeast. Lost game one 9-2 and game two 4–1. Back at it tomorrow at Beckman for a single varsity game.

Panthers lose to CPU tonight 10-9. Came up just short but a lot to learn from. We are back at it Thursday against Northeast.

Panthers split with Camanche last night. We won game one 13-10 and lost the second game 9-6. Back at it next week for a busy one!

JV wins tonight against Lisbon. Varsity trails 5 to 3 in the 4th inning before getting rained out. Make up date TBD.

JV/Varsity drop both games to Marquette tonight. Enjoy the weekend and happy Father’s Day to those dads out there. Back at it next week.

Panthers split with Cascade tonight. We dropped game one 10-0 and bounced back to win game two 3-2. Freshman Reid Hinrichs and Luke Welter were great on the mound and Reed Brunscheen with the go ahead RBI in the top of the 7th.

JV and Varsity drop both to a good Benton team tonight. Back at it Thursday against Cascade for a conference double header.

JV/Varsity pick up another pair of wins tonight against West Branch. JV wins 4-3 behind another great performance from Blaine Benter on the mound. Varsity wins 10-8. Alex Jamison gets his first win on the mound and Luke Welter gets the save.

JV and Varsity bounce back with wins tonight against Maq Valley. Varsity wins in extras 5-4. Still a lot to learn from tonight. Proud of the effort and back at next week with a busy week of games.

Field is already to go for our home opener. Come on out as we take on Anamosa in a varsity double header. First pitch is at 5 pm ⚾️

JV/varsity both fall to North Linn tonight. Varsity is back at it tomorrow with our first home game of the season with a double header against Anamosa.

The Panthers end our road trip this week with wins against Vinton-Shellsburg. JV started the night with a win and varsity wins 5-2 behind a 3 hit complete game from Reed Brunscheen on the mound.

JV and varsity lose on the road to Regina tonight. Got some things to clean up and get ready for tomorrow. We travel to Vinton tomorrow for a JV/varsity matchup.

We are back at it on Thursday at the University of Iowa against Regina.

JV and Varsity go to Cal-Wheat and get the win tonight. Varsity wins 10-0 behind Luke Welter on the mound for his first career win. A lot of great defensive plays behind him tonight!

Panthers go to Clinton and collect two wins. Jv with a great win and varsity wins 12-0 behind a great outing from Reed Brunscheen on the mound.

Panthers fall to Beckman last night 11-4. Game two was rained out. A lot to learn from and back at it Friday.
