@DRSunlocked Its not about the cars being how they are but to make f1 sensible for car manufacturers to join. modern cars now use a lot more electric power than before and f1 had to adapt at some point to be valuable for car brands. It sucks but it was inevitable

The irony of F1’s ‘green engines’: All race cars combined over a season: ~150 tonnes CO₂. F1’s total footprint from flying cargo around the world: ~250,000+ tonnes. Even if fuel consumption tripled using V12s, that’s still <1% from the engines. But sure, let’s nerf the engines.

@MrFloppa @uzairahm44 @technorodrigo Incorrect. In 2011: The two HRT did not set a lap in Quali due to damage. So only 22 cars in Q. In the race: perez DNS due to a crash in qualy. 2 retired due to technical/fire 4 crashed 4 were lapped once 4 were lapped twice 2 three times 1 four times. They did NOT manage it.

If the championship ended after the F1 Dutch GP, Oscar Piastri would have won the title by 34 points from teammate Lando Norris and 105 points from Max Verstappen. And there's no one who would not have termed him a worthy champion because up until that point, his run has been championship worthy. Until then, he had only missed the podium twice in 15 races and made very few mistakes. This is also why the drop off from here to finishing 3rd in the championship was such a disaster.. At the same time, there are quite a few positives for Oscar Piastri as well in this season.. . don't count him out for 2026!

@eismagier13371 @UTDssam @cytrusf1 Because if you watch f2 you know how inconsistent he is with his performances,he should do a 2nd year and fix that.The only argument i see is since 2026 is new regs,so every driver is starting from scratch,not just rookies. So its better to bring rookies in now rather than later

@eismagier13371 @UTDssam @cytrusf1 You do since you build confidence in the first year. Hadjar was p14 in f2 in 2023, then came p2 in 2024. Imagine he stopped after his first year... 2 years in f2 is the optimum unless you come p1, p2 or p3 in your first season

@eismagier13371 @UTDssam @cytrusf1 A bad first year in f1 can cost him his drive and any future drives since he left a bad impression. Or it could simply lead to a loss of confidence which doesnt go away. Better to get ready in f2 and go to f1 when you're truly at the level
