As the end of the year is approaching, each student drew a self portrait as a keepsake for the year. I am just amazed at how they turned out. @BentleySchool1#prek#earlylearning
We love Eric Carle’s book The Very Hungry Caterpillar and it is even more engaging when we get to take turns with the puppets to help retell it! @BentleySchool1#prek#earlyliteracy
After learning about our dramatic play center, a library, in our classroom, we visited our school library! Thank you Mrs. McDiarmid for reading to us and touring us around. It’s so nice to connect what we are role playing to a real life experience. @BentleySchool1
We were hard at work in our Pre-K Auto Shop this week! In Pre-K our work is play, and this dramatic play center is just one example of where we are developing our language and communication, learning to take turns, role play and problem solve. @BentleySchool1#PreK
Cardboard boxes are truly the best toys in a Pre-K classroom! This week we used our creativity and imagination to build cars and a rocket ship! We worked together and were so proud of our creations! @BentleySchool1@BFPA17_18#earlylearning
If you need a reason to smile, just read all the things that make Pre-K students happy on our classroom Thankful Tree. @BentleySchool1@BFPA17_18#earlylearning
It was a very special day in Pre-K as we not only came in this morning to see 2 butterflies, but we also got to watch as 2 more butterflies emerged from their cocoons. The wonder, curiosity and conversation that have come from this activity is amazing! @BFPA17_18@BentleySchool1
In anticipation of our caterpillars arriving we completed many fine motor activities to go with the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar this week! @BentleySchool1@BFPA17_18
We read Todd Parr’s “The Earth Book” for Earth Day this week. We learned about how to take care of our Earth and then used our fine motor skills to create our own Earth. #earlylearning
