@ConnaireMcG Puzzles me where the licences in Belfast all came from when you couldn’t get one unless you bought an existing one. Not criticising, good for the economy and always a great night out. But, ‘huh?’ (I’m Gen X when pubs where freehold and not owned by the brewery)

Other pubs/offsales can’t just object without grounds. An existing pub getting a new licence (odd that it is) can’t be objected to validly. More to this story/opinion piece.

So deserved. The effort Alex and others put in during this arduous period has been incredible. The words appear on the page with authority yet in the simplest possible way, on a complex issue and I don't think enough people appreciate how much work it took to put them there #SWFC

So sad to hear Jim McConville has died. Son of Jean McConville widow who was abducted, murdered and secretly buried by the IRA. Her remains eventually found by accident decades later.

The green #CountyDown countryside, viewed from Dechomet Mountain, a hill of 318 metres with magnificent views of its the surroundings. Yesterday's visit was met with poor visibility so I used this pic from June last year. That's Slieve Croob in the distance.

How sad that Reuters spent time and resources trying to derail someone (who has contributed massively to society)’s career instead of investigating something worthwhile like, I don’t know, widespread political corruption or the Epstein Files. 🤡

I’m at @BELFASTCITY_AIR A LOT. So I know how to navigate the labyrinth… but every time I’m there I see drivers struggling to follow the route to the correct carpark and inadvertently breaking the stringent rules on stopping. (£100 fine) It’s merciless. You’re set up to fail.
