Thanks to @HeatherMeadCamp for leading an Esti-Mystery with our class yesterday. Students had to adjust their estimates based on the clues that were revealed and use that information to find the total number of objects in the bowl. What a great way to end off our week! ❔💭

Last week we went back in time to visit some ancient civilizations! Gr. 4’s built buildings, minecraft creations, tried recipes, and artwork from that time period. @RogersPS1

Ss started contributing to this collaborative Google Jamboard Character Map in response to our class read aloud. They used other pages to ask questions, make connections, and even visualize using images from the web. So very proud of them! @RogersPS1

Learning about mental math strategies to help when solving multiplication and division problems! Today students practiced using a variety of strategies through a mental math investigation.

Introduction to procedural writing started with teaching our little buddies in JK/SK how to make a paper airplane. Such a valuable discussion afterwards about purpose, audience, and detail in our writing. And to top it all off...a lesson on how to tie your shoelaces. 👟✔️#yrdsb
