CRIME 🚨🚨: Asian national, 54, found dead in Yumbe lodge. Police in Yumbe District have launched investigations into the sudden death of a 54-year-old Bangladeshi national discovered lifeless in a lodge room. The deceased, identified as Poni Islam, was a resident of Lomunga Town Council and worked with WKK Company, a contractor on the Yumbe–Terego road project. According to North West Nile Regional Police Spokesperson SP Collins Asea, the incident occurred at Ruvanna Inn Bar and Lodges, where the deceased had booked a room on May 1, 2026. SP Asea said the body was discovered at around 7:00 AM on May 2 after a lodge attendant raised alarm over a phone ringing repeatedly inside the room without response.
