@KeruboSk Agh never!! Concealer, mascara, eyebrow pencil, brow gel (clear), a smidge of highlighter, liquid eyeliner over ivory eyeshadow, blush and lipstick. All in moderation, not heavy. I’m just too pale not to

Are there women who leave the house completely barefaced? With no makeup at all. Just embracing their natural look. Curious...What’s that like for you?

I'm disappointed that the CEO of @TravelodgeUK did not turn up to yesterday's meeting to listen to MPs concerned about women’s safety in their hotels. I hope there will be opportunities in the future to understand the steps the hotel industry are taking to address VAWG.

“A major risk.” Strong words from Hospice UK, who have been v cautious and neutral so far. “It is unquestionable that there is a major risk of an already under-resourced workforce saying, ‘I can't hack this, this is too controversial, I'm gonna go off and work somewhere else.’”

Falconer, single-minded, wants to set a dangerous precedent and end the Lords as we know it: line-by-line scrutiny curtailed, peers denied the chance to speak, 90% of amendments ignored. If peers accept this for a Bill ending people's lives, what Bill could it not apply to? 1/
Nikki da Costa@nmdacosta

Falconer wants peers to curtail debate on Starmer's Bill and limit their concerns to just 10 issues. IF they agree to his timetable, he's offered to say what he is willing to do on those issues. He isn't offering a compromise nor proactivity - all the movement is on one side 1/

Confirmed—and in the most forceful language I have ever seen the APM use on this subject. “Lord Falconer cited, and misrepresented, expert evidence presented…by the Association for Palliative Medicine.”
Prof. Mark Taubert@ProfMarkTaubert

The @APMPostTweets has issued a statement on a misrepresentation by Lord Falconer last Friday with regard to the safeguard of panels in assisted dying.

Something very odd is happening behind the scenes on Kim Leadbeater’s Assisted Dying Bill. Multiple sources say Falconer is talking up with Govt bypassing the House of Lords entirely using the Parliament Acts — and has been planning this since the summer 1/

Lord Bassam and Baroness Winterton, both pro-Bill, being incredibly rude here and talking over much loved, Peer of the Year, Baroness Grey Thompson, as she sets out how vulnerable pregnant women, the homeless and prisoners will in the AD/AS regime.

And he declined to tell voters - or even his own MPs - that this would be amongst his policies if elected. Which religious and ethnic communities in particular were deliberately deceived by that? What do their MPs feel now?
(((Dan Hodges)))@DPJHodges

The fundamental problem is there have been several moments Kim Leadbeater hasn’t seemed to be across the detail of her own bill. And the reason for that is it’s not really her bill. It’s Keir Starmer’s bill.

This "safer" bill allows for-profit companies to operate this suicide service, something a gov minister, @SKinnock, has confirmed he is comfortable with. That is, as far as I know, unprecedented throughout the world. #assistedsuicide

Assisted dying bill is safer than any other in the world: “I am sure there are many peers who want to scrutinise the bill in a sensible way, but they are being thwarted by a handful who seem intent on stopping law change at any cost.” Dr Jacky Davis theguardian.com/society/2025/d…

So far Starmer’s assisted suicide bill has circumvented: —The electorate (nothing in manifesto) —Ministers (banned from speaking) —Experts (excluded by Commons committee) —MPs (urged to vote yes so Lords could fix it) —Now Lords (told they are filibustering if they scrutinise)?
Jessica Elgot@jessicaelgot

EXC - I've seen a leaked policy document from Labour in opposition which sets out how to approach assisted dying. The document sets out how it could be introduced as a private member’s bill, suggesting that would still allow “heavy influence” for the government in the process

🔥LORD FALCONER ADMITS ASSISTED SUICIDE SAFEGUARDS COULD BE WATERED DOWN IN FUTURE! In a big moment, Lord Falconer admits to Baroness @Fox_Claire that he can’t guarantee under-18s won’t one day be eligible for assisted suicide (as is the case elsewhere) if his Bill passes.
