Small Tortoiseshell's turn to be the most numerous species at my local spot by Wagon Lane Solihull earlier this afternoon with 10 seen, supported by half a dozen each of Peacock and Comma.

Had a wander down to my local spot by Wagon Lane this morning to try and catch some butterflies feeding up on blossom before they scattered for the day. A total of 10 Peacocks, 4 Commas and 3 Small Tortoiseshells seen.

Pale Pinion was the best moth of just 10 of 4 species to my Solihull garden moth trap last night, the rest being Common Quaker (6), Clouded Drab (2) and Hebrew Character (1)

A single Oak Beauty was the best moth among a total of 23 of 3 species to my Solihull garden moth trap last night, the others being Common Quaker (15) and Hebrew Character (7).
