Or maybe since he has an incredibly avg arm and athleticism so the very few teams needing a QB weren’t willing to bet on him and risk their jobs if he busts and now when you’re talking about depth/QB2 you need to be comfortable that he’ll actually run the scout team, help the starter prepare, stand on the sideline and be a good teammate and not be the focal point which is a whole different concern
