Trae's skillset was not needed anymore. No knock to him. Naw & CJ both gives you 20, Jalen gives 24-10 AND the team leads the league in assists.
I think the Wizards view Trae as higher scoring Rajon Rondo & not a shorter Luka. Instead of Rondo's 9 points Trae gives you 17-21.
