From my previous post, I sincerely apologize that the message made it seem like I took this issue lightly or that I was normalizing adult-minor relationships by labeling it as a sister dynamic. I never meant it that way, but I completely understand why it could be perceived that way. I initially accepted the role because it was committed to not involving a romantic relationship plot with another character who is a minor, as adult-minor issues are something I’m very concerned about too. However, when the promotion came out this way and after reading everyone’s thoughts and concerns about this matter, I realized even more that even though the plot itself doesn’t include an adult-minor relationship, promoting us as a couple in any form, and through #PunnIlene is still inappropriate, as it could contribute to normalizing such relationships. I admit that I hadn’t thought about it carefully enough, and I sincerely apologize once again for that. I have never supported any form of adult-minor relationship, and I feel very concerned about the way the situation has turned out. I’ve raised the concerns with the team, and they have committed to taking action and making changes on this issue. Thank you so much for all your concerns, advice, and for giving me more understanding about adult-minor issues. I truly appreciate it, and I’ll continue to educate myself and raise more awareness about this matter. Thank you
