The portal opened on the 2nd, then will become CLOGGED in less than an hour due to a dead period, then unclogged at midnight on Thursday for a mad dash to the finish line at 12:00am of the 17th. Meanwhile, there’s a thing called “SCHOOL” that has already started with admissions and class availability looming. Plus life things like moving from other places, dorm space and apartment leases, roommates, and the like. Moreover, football stuff like off-season training and building team chemistry. Shoot, and that’s not an exhaustive list as it’s just stuff off the top of my head. I just had a visit conclude hours ago and all this stuff was on my heart thinking of the current landscape of college football. Regardless: Love the players unconditionally whether they go or stay. That’s the proper thing to do as a coach—as difficult as it may be. Like Will Smith said in Bad Boys 2: Psssh, don’t hate the playah hate the game. Much love and positivity to you all🤟🏾
