While composting can attract some beneficial decomposers, a well-managed compost pile should not attract pests such as rats, raccoons, or flies. Avoid composting meat, dairy, and oily foods. Aerated and balanced compost piles discourage pest activity. ocasa.wildapricot.org/Membership/
