@msonenote Universal access, ease of note taking, web clipper, ease of searching notes, and all around awesomeness. I’ve been using OneNote exclusively for 8 years now and it works great. Keep making it better @msonenote

@NotedByRyan The only thing stopping me from going all in on OneNote is the backup situation on Mac. I saw elsewhere on thread sections are files. Does this imply that there’s hope for local backups on Mac (that aren’t exports to PDF?) if that access gets turned on?

@wvw82349758 Yes on the updated sync engine. For #2 we don't have committed plans but it's on our list. OneNote Notebooks are not files, sections are...which is why it's much harder to do it at a notebook level.

@NotedByRyan Very good news! Are you implementing an updated sync "engine"? 1) Currently 2016 desktop works but does not seem to be as efficient as ON for Win 10. 2) Are you adding the ability to password protect entire notebooks, versus just sections? Tks...

@siaelalves Office 2016 is out of support: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycl… The new OneNote is built from 2016 so all those features will work.

@NotedByRyan @mtholfsen @JenVerField @OneNoteEDU Will there be a blog post or announcement somewhere when the changes to the Desktop app happen? Also, is the best place to report feedback in the Feedback Hub or through the desktop app?

Does anyone have info on what's happening with @OneNoteEDU and OneNote 10? I thought 10 was going away but I was told today it isn't? I like OG OneNote but a lot of my colleagues like 10 better. #MIEexpert @mtholfsen

I'm learning to unleash the power of OneNote through multiple tabs, pages, subpages, and archiving. I think my addiction to Notion just jumped to OneNote.

@stemarcoh It will support the same extensions the Win32 desktop app support today. We don't have plans to do much new with the COM Interop API... but never say never.

@JD__Online Before it was released as OneNote it was called scribbler and jot at points.

@NotedByRyan OneNote was released in 2003 if I'm not mistaken, but I don't know it's original name.
