your resentment comes from someone who has told you to not eat in front of them during fasting then those people are wrong, not you. Fasting is all about tolerance. In essence fasting is less to do with not drinking and eating and more to do with controlling the willpower and building the discipline to do good. It’s a training for the mind. And it is a personal thing - if someone imposes this on others then that’s total irony.

Why Afraid? Listen to the sermons references of Ali and Khyber when prophet Muhammad gave Ali the leadership (lion) after others failed to breach the defences of the fort where jew tribes of those times were violating the treaties and inciting neighboring tribes to launch military attacks against the newly arrived Muslim state. Ali did not look back and single-handedly uprooted the massive iron gate of the Al-Qamus fortress and used it as a shield, achieving a miraculous victory that no other commander could secure.

🇪🇬The Eid sermon in Egypt during the presence of Egypt’s President contained two messages that are going viral in Arabic: “O people of Egypt and Soldiers of Egypt in particular, march forward and don’t look back, comply with the saying of the Messenger (PBUH) on the day he handed the banner to the Lion of God, the Victorious, the Lion of the East and West Ali on the day of Khaybar: ‘O Ali, take the banner and do not turn back.’” “O Allah, by the right of Fatimah, her father, her husband, her sons, and the secret entrusted within her, do not leave Egypt in need of any ignoble person among Your creation.”

The question is why use the past as a shield to avoid the accountability of the present. The question is at the name of Ali why shy away with tags of Shia. Ali is for all of us. The observation should have been that it is the reference of Khyber when prophet Muhammad gave Ali the leadership (lion) after others failed to breach the defences of the fort where jew tribes of those times were violating the treaties and inciting neighboring tribes to launch military attacks against the newly arrived Muslim state. Ali did not look back and single-handedly uprooted the massive iron gate of the Al-Qamus fortress and used it as a shield, achieving a miraculous victory that no other commander could secure.

Did you know the occupation Palestine carried out by more than half a million Egyptians supporting the British Egyptian Crusader Expeditionary Force led by Allenby, launched from Egypt with Indian combatants /1918? Did you know the first war fought by the Egyptian army was against Saudi Arabia /1963? Did you know the transfer of the Egyptian army to fight Saudi Arabia in Yemen gave Israel the opportunity to occupy all of Palestine and Sinai /1964? Did you know the first complete Arab army to surrender to Israel without a fight was the Egyptian Third Army /1973? Did you know that when King Faisal cut off oil supplies to the world in support of the war against Israel and rejected all American and Western threats, Anwar Sadat intervened and asked King Faisal to lift the boycott, famously saying, "Enough no need"? Did you know the first Arab country to normalize relations and recognize Israel was Egypt? Did you know the first country in the world whose army is not allowed to enter a part of its own territory is Egypt in Sinai? Did you know Egypt was the first Arab country to sign an agreement with the United Nations to allow the establishment of an American base on its territory in Sinai, and that Egypt has no right to interfere with who enters or uses it? Did you know since the time of the pharaohs, Egypt did not govern itself until the British granted it sovereignty after its army's participation in the occupation of Palestine? Did you know the only country that imports its food despite having one of the oldest and longest rivers in the world is Egypt? Did you know that during the Gaza war, Egyptian army was only allowed to enter to search for and recover the bodies of missing Israelis? Did you know Egypt charges up to ten thousand dollars for every aid shipment entering or leaving Gaza? Did you know that Israelis enter Egypt through special crossings and at reduced fees than any other Arab? Did you know that Israel prevents Egypt from drilling for gas in its territorial waters and on some of its land, and then sells Egyptian gas to Egypt?

It is not about Shia. Ali and Fatima are revered by all Muslims equally. The reference of Khyber is when prophet Muhammad gave Ali the leadership (lion) after others failed to breach the defences of the fort where jew tribes of those times were living. These wealthy tribes were violating the treaties and inciting neighboring tribes to launch military attacks against the newly arrived Muslim state. Ali did not look back and single-handedly uprooted the massive iron gate of the Al-Qamus fortress and used it as a shield, achieving a miraculous victory that no other commander could secure.

Low-wage labourers turned away from malls? Same dress-code rules as malls in Europe/US/Asia — family environment, not nationality. - Passports confiscated? Illegal in UAE, cracked down hard; still happens globally — UAE fixes it faster. - Maids abused? Sad reality everywhere; UAE has strongest Gulf protections + hotline + law since 2017. - Different laws / no passport for 85%? Citizenship merit-based for top achievers only — everyone else gets safety, tax-free life, golden visas. - One argument from deportation? Every country deports rule-breakers fast; UAE rules are clear, millions stay decades. - Emiratis rude to “lesser” people? Rudeness exists everywhere; most Emiratis are generous — cultural style often misread. We are all Emirati** — same human issues + exceptional safety & opportunity.

If "We are all Emirati": - Why do low wage labourers get turned away from shopping malls? - Why do labourers get their passports confiscated? - Why do maids get abused by their Emirati employers? - Why does one law apply to Emiratis and another to the 85% who will never get a passport or other rights no matter how long they live there? - Why are non Emiratis one argument away from deportation? - Why are Emiratis so bloody rude to everybody they consider beneath them? Yeah, we are all Emirati.

Such a business of the Institution is important too in a country whose leaders have either mansions around the world or are too loud with their mouths and they considers humility as weakness. The Attack/defence spending and tolerance is very high for other countries. Hard power is necessary for sovereignty, security and diplomacy

@MDUmairKh The problem never lies in taking 18% they can take up to 40% or even 50% but the real thing is that they have occupied 80% of country business which is not their job. You can find top performing companies in each sector owned by them. And the tax return is almost zero.

I have criticised the GHQ a lot, but I never talked about them taking 80% budget because criticism should be based on facts, not hearsay. When Pakistan was created, the defence budget was 58%, the highest it had ever been. Today it's around 18%. After acquiring deterrence, the budget came down dramatically. 18% puts our defence budget around $12 billion, which is nowhere near close to our enemies and world powers. India's military budget is $86 billion, American $961 billion, Russian $166 billion, Turkey $51 billion, and Chinese $277 billion. It's amazing what our country has pulled off with such a low budget. We live in a shit neighbourhood.
