Honest question. What genre would you assume this book is from the cover alone? 1. Historical mystery 2. Fantasy 3. Dark suspense 4. Horror 5. Something else? First instinct only. I’m genuinely curious how the cover is reading to people. #BookTwitter #WritingCommunity

@PFDonato @lornahunting Readers are discovering The Mereland Chronicles: The Crier isn’t what they expected. Feedback includes: “emotionally brilliant”, “couldn’t put it down”, and “read it in one go.” Good stories don’t announce when they turn dark. They just pull you in.

@HJamesWrites As an author I know how important reviews are. As a reader I have always left reviews, or at least a rating.

Authors, what day of the week do you usually sell the most books on average? Do you notice a lull midweek or an upsurge at weekends? #writingcommunity

@PJScribbansAuth It's really no different than a bookstore buying your book to sell on their shelves, with a higher cost... Except this "bookstore" is a virtual vendor on eBay.

#writingcommunity I’m not sure whether to be pleased or annoyed that eBay sellers are listing my book at an inflated price. On the plus side, it adds visibility & suggests demand. Downside, I don’t like the idea of readers paying over the odds. Has anyone else had this happen?

@AuthorGFAllen Thanks G.F. I’m assuming whoever is doing this (there are at least three) will buy my book from Amazon/Ingramspark and post it to their buyer and take the markup. I’m still getting a sale, but the reader is paying out more - which I’m not comfortable with.

@PJScribbansAuth Yeah I found my book on eBay with a different price, apparently there is not much you can do about it.

@PJScribbansAuth I have trusted a character who later reveals himself as the villain. I can't say I regret it, but I do get my revenge in the remaining plot line 😏
