When I was in Grenada my grand aunty (who’s not my aunty but she’s my aunty) was reminiscing about how she went to play a football match in Lucia, and the Lucians were malpalaying them and the Grenadians were like… we know what yall are saying 🙂. Like mutually intelligible!!

Grenada also has a French Creole language that is endangered. It currently has less than 500 speakers. But over 100 years ago the whole island was fluent and only spoke French Creole. Things can change super quickly if we don’t fight to preserve our afro- creole languages!
