Institutions know how to trade. They've been doing it for decades.
The barrier is comfort. Onchain trading is a completely foreign world to them.
Decibel was built with institutional spec in mind from the ground up. No black box sequencer & no hidden risks they can't model.

This comes right after AIP-141 (10x gas fee update) passed yesterday.
Meanwhile:

Will @Aptos go deflationary after AIP-184? Short answer: NO Even after a 10x gas fee increase, Aptos with a 2.6% emission rate will still issue more APT than it burns daily. Aptos max supply is capped at 2.1B, and the current supply is ~1.19B. It will continue issuing rewards at a 2.6% rate until it hits that cap. After that, a portion of gas fees will be shared with validators. Is it possible for @Aptos to ever go deflationary? – YES If @DecibelTrade adds a lot of market (~100) and trading activity reaches ~20–30 TPS, the new 10x gas fees could make Aptos deflationary. Note: @shelbyserves is also launching soon, and it could drive a significant amount of transactions on the Aptos mainnet. TL;DR: Aptos looking better than it did last month.
