🚨 BREAKING: Real Madrid have realized there are MANY problems in this squad: - A lack of FOOTBALL - A lack of LEADERSHIP - A lack of MATURITY - BAD ATTITUDES even from YOUNG footballers that JUST came - Lack of PROFESSIONALISM - VERY HIGH EGOES with no actual success on the pitch - The INDIFFERENCE of certain players even when the team loses. - Multiple long-serving club employees say that the competitive standards of professionalism and sacrifice that were set by the previous generation (Modric, Kroos, Nacho...) have PLUMMETED under these players. @el_pais

Leicester City are currently sitting in the Championship relegation zone, facing a potential drop into the third tier of English football, carrying the highest wage bill in the second division. So far, they have been hit with a six point deduction for breaching profit and sustainability rules and they cycling through managers at an unprecedented rate. Ten years ago, they were Premier League champions. It was the greatest underdog story in the history of football. At the time, Kim Kardashian had a higher chance of becoming President of the United States than they had of winning the league. They were outsiders with the odds 5000/1 agaisnt them. And the man who built all of it died in a helicopter crash outside their own stadium in October 2018. Today would have been his 68th birthday. Did you knowKhun Vichai? When Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha bought Leicester City in 2010 for £39 million, the club had just come out of League One and had been in administration eight years earlier. They were a second tier club with an unstable recent history and no real expectation of anything beyond survival. What Vichai did in the years that followed was more than money. Plenty of foreign owners bring money. Almost none of them bring what he brought. He immediately wiped out £103 million of the club's loans and bought a stadium on behalf of the club. He invested in the squad, promoted the club back to the Premier League by 2014, and then did something no owner at any level of the game had ever managed before. He won the Premier League title in 2015-16 with a club that started the season at odds of 5,000 to 1. They won it by ten clear points with two games in hand. It remains the most improbable league title in the history of professional football. But the numbers are not why people loved him. What made Vichai different was the culture he created around the club. He attended virtually every home game. He handed out free beer, doughnuts and scarves to fans. He brought Thai monks to bless the pitch. He gave players Buddhist amulets. He converted a room next to the referees' dressing room into a prayer space. He gave each title winning player a BMW i8 worth £100,000 as a personal thank you. He was present in a way that most billionaire owners simply are not and never are, and the players, staff and supporters felt it every single week. On 27 October 2018, his helicopter took off from the pitch after a draw with West Ham and crashed in the car park outside the King Power Stadium. He died alongside four others. Kasper Schmeichel, who had been Leicester's goalkeeper through the title win and who Vichai had loaned his helicopter to for a family holiday, witnessed the crash and ran towards the wreckage. He was powerless to help. What followed was an attempt by his son Aiyawatt to carry the vision forward. There have been genuine moments, including a first ever FA Cup title in 2021. But the financial architecture built was designed around consistent Premier League revenue and European football. When that dried up, the walls came down- especially with relegation in 2023. They got an Immediate promotion in 2024 but got relegated again in 2025. and a points deduction in 2026. They have now accrued losses exceeding £180 million across two seasons and employed eleven managers in under ten years. Aiyawatt himself recently said publicly that his football club is "falling from the stars to the ground." He is right. And the brutal truth is that the star it fell from was built by one man, with a quiet dignity and a genuine love for a club and a city that loved him back completely. Rest well, Khun Vichai. My name is Ajoje and I am a FIFA Licensed Agent and International Sports Lawyer. I talk about the Law and Business of Football, a lot. Repost and Follow me if you want to read more posts like this.
