Succé för ålgräsplantering i sand. Förra året planterades 80 000 ålgräsplantor i en grund havsvik vid Lilla Askerön mellan Tjörn och Orust. När forskarna @zorrogroup @goteborgsuni inventerade området i september hade antalet plantor mer än tiodubblats bit.ly/3ClQsZB

Successful sand-capping and #eelgrass restoration in NW #Sweden. Last spring we placed 8000 ton of sand on 1 ha seafloor to reduce sediment resuspension, and planted 80 000 shoots of eelgrass. Surveys last weeks showed great survival and growth with almost 900 000 shoots!
