Police search two addresses linked to Mandelson investigation The Metropolitan Police have confirmed officers are carrying out searches at two addresses as part of an investigation involving Peter Mandelson. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Hayley Sewart said officers from the Met’s central specialist crime team are executing search warrants at properties in Wiltshire and Camden. The activity relates to an ongoing inquiry into alleged misconduct in public office involving a 72 year old man. No arrests have been made and enquiries remain ongoing

Do you remember this little guy? 🐾 Found wandering the streets of Hartlepool just before Christmas, an officer took him home and arranged vet care. Aside from being underweight, he was thankfully well. Now named Oscar, he’s thriving in his new forever home with the officer’s family and his new sibling, Charlie 🐕 Cleveland Police are delighted he’s safe, happy, and loved.

A former prison officer has been jailed after engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a prisoner at a Surrey jail. Isabelle Dale, 23, who was employed at HMP Coldingley, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison after being convicted of two counts of misconduct in public office.

My interview with Poolad Shadman, a 70-year-old opponent of the Islamic Republic, who was severely injured last night by police while protesting outside the Embassy of the Islamic Republic. Mr Shadman was peacefully demonstrating against the regime when police intervention turned violent. He sustained serious injuries and required medical attention. This interview documents what happened, gives voice to a man who has spent his life opposing tyranny, and raises urgent questions about the treatment of Iranian dissidents protesting an illegitimate and violent regime.
