Tom Izzo will go down as one of the last, if not the last genuine program builder in D1 basketball. Guys stay, develop, and get rewarded. Complete opposite of what college athletics has become everywhere else.

The 2026 Spring Season is Dedicated to Connor Peterson #42 Connor was a special member of the New England Elite family. His impact on our program went far beyond basketball. Every time Connor stepped into the gym, he represented the values that we believe define what it means to be part of New England Elite. Connor’s legacy was built on: Toughness Curiosity Humility Humor Those qualities defined the way Connor lived, the way he played, and the way he treated others. Throughout the 2026 Spring Season, our players, coaches, and families will honor Connor by embodying those same values in everything we do — on the court and off

Parents out screwing their kids up. 1. If whatever the sport is comes before academics you're already going backwards. 2 . Graphics don't get kids recruited 3. College Coaches don't care what 8U, 9U, 10U or a middle schooler is doing. 4. Just because you think your kid is a baller doesn't mean he/she is one. Put them in situations against the top players in the area/region and see how they stack up. 5. Stop getting mad when others opinions don't align with yours. 6. If you don’t understand that relationships are important you don't understand recruiting. 7. Let your kid be a kid.

After 10 amazing years, I have stepped down at BHS. I’m incredibly grateful to the players, staff, & community who helped build something special. At this time, I have to devote more of my attention to responsibilities at home. BHS will always hold a special place in my heart.

Youth sports isn’t dying from lack of talent. It’s dying from overload. No free play, rest, recovery, off-seasons. Too many showcases & tournaments. Not enough development. Parent ego + social media pressure fuel the fire. We don’t need more exposure. We need better environments.

So proud of Mike Demartinis (@LikeMike12_) and the incredible job he’s done at Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School this winter season — leading the program to the MIAA State Tournament for the first time in MANY years. Mike has a tremendous future as a Head Coach!

Congrats on longtime Mass Elite player Parker Delong (@ParkerDelong_5) on scoring 1K points at Amesbury HS. This is an unbelievable accomplishment and I could not be more proud of him. The first player do to this from Amesbury since @CamKeliher ‼️

Had an absolute blast watching Bedford HS on Senior Night. So many of those young men have been part of the Mass Elite family for years — seeing their growth as players and people is lots of fun. Proud of the work, the loyalty, and the journey. Special group.

Program Directors Brendan Hoban (@Bhoban23) and Brandon Wiercinski (@brandonski1) are incredibly excited to officially unveil that the organization’s top 9th, 10th, and 11th grade teams will compete on the Hoop Group circuit as members of the Hoop Group Academic League (HGAL) beginning this upcoming spring and summer. This move represents a game changer for New England Elite Basketball as the program enters a bold new era of excellence—one defined by elite competition, national visibility, and a steadfast commitment to academic-driven recruiting. The Hoop Group Academic League is widely regarded as the premier national platform for high-academic basketball recruiting, drawing college coaches from top Division II, Division III, and academically elite institutions across the country. By joining this circuit, New England Elite Basketball elevates its student-athletes onto the highest level of national exposure available for academically focused programs. As part of the HGAL schedule, New England Elite Basketball teams will compete in top Hoop Group showcase events across the country, with confirmed stops this spring and summer in PA, NJ and more! In addition to this competitive leap, New England Elite Basketball is also launching a comprehensive educational and recruiting support initiative designed to further separate the program from traditional club models. Beginning in January, every student-athlete in the program will be assigned a dedicated college recruiting advisor. These advisors will meet monthly with student-athletes out of the program’s Burlington office, in small groups and also individual sessions. We will begin putting together rosters and offering spots to top High School players effective immediately.
