For decades, Ms. Katherine Jones has been the heart of Oakland Elementary School, serving not just meals, but kindness, wisdom, and warmth. Her journey began in the 1990s as a dedicated volunteer, later transitioning into a beloved Cafeteria Worker with Suffolk Public Schools. After years of faithful service, Ms. Jones has officially retired at the remarkable age of 95. Her legacy of love, compassion, and quiet service will forever live on in the halls of Oakland Elementary School. #SPSCreatesAchievers

Another successful year for OES Girls on the Run program. I had the pleasure of being a Coach this season. We were able to donate 2 boxes of toys to the Salvation Atmy and on Sunday we completed the GOTR 5K run at the Mariners’ Museum in NN! @PrinciPALMyrick @OES_Braves

My office is usually a mess this time of the year but for a good reason! Mrs. Fenneman and Ms. Rollins made baskets for families in need of some assistance. Our community partners donated toys, food, clothes, etc. Giving back is the best part about being a School Counselor!
