@GMB Yet again the dept for education making things up without any clue of the logistics of how a school works because, other than guided tours for the cameras, most of them have never been to a primary school since they left age 11.
English

@GMB This is two separate questions.
‘Should teachers teach children how to brush their teeth?
We do in HRE lessons.
‘Should teaching staff supervise children brushing their teeth daily?’
Absolutely not. 1 classroom sink, 35 children, 2 minutes per child. Won’t work.

@SlatteryMr This was me. I decided to bin all my socks that I couldn’t pair or were wearing thin continuously for 3-4 months as I wore them.
Now I only have three types of socks.
All black socks from Next.
White Sports socks (yet to diversify to one brand)
Ankle socks.
So much easier

@_MrLevick @BenisonMrs Do they need to know that?
When would anyone ever actually need to know that?
I’m 32, taught for 11 years and other than in school I’ve never, ever needed to know that.
English

@BenisonMrs But it simply isn’t appropriate ?
In the above sentence ‘is’ functions as a verb and leaners need to know that!!
English

Please can we stop teaching that verbs are just actions or ‘doing’ words. Verbs are SO much more!!!!

@MardyMariner98 @HeyMissSmith I have only used it on a recent NPQ I’ve enrolled on. There does seem a lot of tasks but I think that is the course rather than the software. Before this I wasn’t aware of the software so can’t comment further.
English

@Primary_Joe @HeyMissSmith Each other own but they will come. It’s clunky, laborious and the one size fits all approach it uses is dangerous. Not to mention the sheer volume of tasks it expects you to get through, lie there isn’t enough to do…
English

@MardyMariner98 @HeyMissSmith To be honest I’ve only just begun using it but I have found it to be excellent so far. I’ve not experienced any of these keep going or emojis. Maybe it depends what course you’re doing?
English

@HeyMissSmith No point being polite, bloody awful and the patronising ‘keep going’ and ‘remember to do the pointless tasks’ messages with kid like emojis
English

@LeeWoods0722 Placemats to tell people how to teach? Yes, it is.
English

@DeputyGrocott Also vastly depends on school, parents, type of homework etc.
If you’re at a school where children generally receive little support at home or have many EAL parents, is a child doing their homework at After school club or breakfast club beneficial?
