Last night we had a lovely launch of the forthcoming @BBCRadio4 DICKENSIAN season, starting on 29 September, you have an 8-week Dickensian feast: Hard Times, Little Dorritt, and Our Mutual Friend. I've adapted the last of these, it's directed by @poltho and has a glorious cast.

Am I the only tennis fan out there who is struggling to watch #womenstennis? I tried to watch the #Wimbledon champion @MarketaVon1993 play the semi-final of the #StuttgartOpen, advertised as on #Skytennis. Mysteriously pulled with no announcement. #TennisTV seems all men.

@francis_ogorman Francis was a dear friend for many years. I will miss him very much. Not only was he a first-rate academic, he thought about what it meant to be so. He was a thinker, writer, musician, and friend, who was not above a good gossip. RIP x

Lovely to catch up with my former PhD student, Lee Jackson, at the Dickens Museum today, and to be given a signed copy of the Yale UP book which grew from the PhD. A great example of AHRC-funded research borne of a collaboration between Royal Holloway and the Dickens Museum!
