let me make sure i’m understanding this correctly
the supreme court is refunding all tariff money back to corporations.
the same corporations that didn’t pay a single cent of those tariffs to begin with.
they passed every dollar directly to you through higher prices on everything you buy
you went to the store and paid more for groceries. you paid more for clothes. for car parts. for literally everything.
that money came out of YOUR pocket not theirs
and now the refund goes to THEM?
the corporations who used the tariffs as an excuse to raise prices even higher than the tariff itself and pocket the difference
the american people funded the tariffs.
the corporations profited off the tariffs.
and now the corporations get a refund on money they never spent in the first place
and nobody in washington thinks the people who actually paid should get the money back.
not a single person has even suggested it
guess we are never getting our DOGE checks either
this country does not work for you.
it works for them. it’s a joke
and they’re not even pretending anymore

For those unaware, SpaceX has already shifted focus to building a self-growing city on the Moon, as we can potentially achieve that in less than 10 years, whereas Mars would take 20+ years.
The mission of SpaceX remains the same: extend consciousness and life as we know it to the stars.
It is only possible to travel to Mars when the planets align every 26 months (six month trip time), whereas we can launch to the Moon every 10 days (2 day trip time). This means we can iterate much faster to complete a Moon city than a Mars city.
That said, SpaceX will also strive to build a Mars city and begin doing so in about 5 to 7 years, but the overriding priority is securing the future of civilization and the Moon is faster.

@bestplayeratlas nah, actually,
if you focus on what you have you're rich
if you focus on what you don't have you're poor

My 68-year-old client said something that stopped me cold:
"The last 20 years felt like 5. I can't remember most of it."
Here's what neuroscience says about why time accelerates as we age—and the one thing that slows it down:
At 10 years old, one year = 10% of your life. Everything is new.
At 68, one year = 1.5% of your life. Same routine for 40 years.
When everything is routine, time blurs. Your brain doesn't encode memories.
But new experiences? They stretch time. Make it feel rich again.
He started taking painting classes. Learning Italian. Volunteering at a food bank.
"I feel like I'm living again. The weeks actually feel long now."
One new experience per month can literally change how you experience time.
The application: Stop watching the same shows. Take a cooking class. Visit that museum you've driven past for 10 years.
Routine steals your years. Novelty gives them back.

I have an employee, Sarah, who has been my right hand for 6 years. She opens the shop, closes the shop, and treats the business like it's her own. Yesterday, she came into my office shaking, handing me a resignation letter. She said her mom was diagnosed with dementia and she needs to become a full-time caregiver because she can't afford a nurse. I tore up the letter. I told her, 'You are not quitting. You are on paid leave until you figure this out. Your job will be here, and your paycheck will hit your account every two weeks.' I’d rather take a hit to my profits than lose a loyal human being to a tragedy she didn't ask for.
Good people are hard to find, we have to protect them

I’m a big guy. I’ve been lifting weights for ten years. I look intimidating, I guess. I was at Planet Fitness doing bench presses. I noticed a kid in the corner. He was maybe 16, really overweight. He was looking around like he was terrified someone was going to laugh at him. He walked over to the dumbbells, picked up the lightest ones, and did a few awkward curls. He stopped, looked in the mirror, and hung his head. He was about to leave. He looked like he was about to quit before he even started. I racked my weights and walked over to him. He flinched when he saw me coming. He thought I was going to make fun of him. 'Hey man,' I said. He looked down. 'I’m leaving, sorry.' 'No,' I said. 'I was just gonna say, your form is a little off. You’re gonna hurt your back.' I picked up a weight. 'Tuck your elbows. Like this. Slow down.' He copied me. 'There you go,' I grinned. 'That’s the muscle working.' We trained together for an hour. I showed him the ropes. At the end, he wiped the sweat off his forehead. 'I almost walked out,' he admitted. 'I felt stupid.' 'We all started somewhere,' I told him. 'I used to be 50 pounds heavier than you. The only bad workout is the one you didn't do.' He’s been my gym partner for six months now. He’s down 40 pounds. Strength isn't about how much you can lift. It’s about lifting others up with you.

It’s been about 3 months since I went to the gym.
Today is my new year.
We can start over anytime we choose.

Governments tax you, even though they could just print the money, because they don't want your money to compete with the money they print out of thin air to buy stuff. Fun thought experiment. You paint your friends house for $100. He fixes your car for $100. You both pay $25 in income tax. You guys used to have $200, now you have $150. He mows your lawn, you clear his sink drain. Another $100 each. You both pay $25 each in tax again.
Now y'all only got $100, but you used to have $200.
