let me make sure i’m understanding this correctly the supreme court is refunding all tariff money back to corporations. the same corporations that didn’t pay a single cent of those tariffs to begin with. they passed every dollar directly to you through higher prices on everything you buy you went to the store and paid more for groceries. you paid more for clothes. for car parts. for literally everything. that money came out of YOUR pocket not theirs and now the refund goes to THEM? the corporations who used the tariffs as an excuse to raise prices even higher than the tariff itself and pocket the difference the american people funded the tariffs. the corporations profited off the tariffs. and now the corporations get a refund on money they never spent in the first place and nobody in washington thinks the people who actually paid should get the money back. not a single person has even suggested it guess we are never getting our DOGE checks either this country does not work for you. it works for them. it’s a joke and they’re not even pretending anymore

For those unaware, SpaceX has already shifted focus to building a self-growing city on the Moon, as we can potentially achieve that in less than 10 years, whereas Mars would take 20+ years. The mission of SpaceX remains the same: extend consciousness and life as we know it to the stars. It is only possible to travel to Mars when the planets align every 26 months (six month trip time), whereas we can launch to the Moon every 10 days (2 day trip time). This means we can iterate much faster to complete a Moon city than a Mars city. That said, SpaceX will also strive to build a Mars city and begin doing so in about 5 to 7 years, but the overriding priority is securing the future of civilization and the Moon is faster.

Governments tax you, even though they could just print the money, because they don't want your money to compete with the money they print out of thin air to buy stuff. Fun thought experiment. You paint your friends house for $100. He fixes your car for $100. You both pay $25 in income tax. You guys used to have $200, now you have $150. He mows your lawn, you clear his sink drain. Another $100 each. You both pay $25 each in tax again. Now y'all only got $100, but you used to have $200.
