FT Spurs 2 v 2 Brighton What a huge disaster this was we sat back for the last 8 minutes and gave it away yet again. Just clear the bloody ball. Xavi scored with a superb finish and we all thought finally we’d done it. I was very happy with the starting line-up with Bissouma and Gallagher there to press and give Xavi time on the ball up front, and it certainly looked like it was working as we constantly looked to progress the ball forward, players making forward runs, but it was nearly Brighton against the run of play that neatly took the lead, hitting the post and running back along the line. As usual, the ref had been poor. Xavi finally got free and crossed the ball for Porro to score with a header. And we should have had a second, but somehow Xavi, having done the hard part, hit the post. We paid the price soon after. Mitoma, unmarked, hit a superb shot into the goal. Kinsky had no chance. Porro was at fault as he left him unmarked at the back post. I thought Bentancur did well progressing the ball forward keeping it moving. Gallagher pressed well in this system.I wasn’t impressed with Muani or Solanke how did he last 90 Richy imho should have come on. Danso looked more solid than Romero until the mistake at the death 🤦🏻‍♂️ We leave The ground gutted again it’s not looking good at all we deserved more still no wins in 2026 and we still haven’t won a game in 32 when we’ve had a goal against us. Xavi was easily our MOM #COYS 🤍💙
