We were delighted to welcome author Claire Hatcher-Smith to school today! 📚✨ The children were captivated as Claire shared her writing journey, inspiration behind her stories, and what it takes to become an author.

Year 5 have been enjoying filling out their reading scrapbooks as part of their home learning 📚✨ Each week, a child creates a page all about a book of their choice to share with their classmates—helping to inspire a love of reading across the class.

📚✨ Reading Warriors in Action! ✨📚 Our Reading Warriors had their very first Reading for Pleasure Club this week — and what a fantastic start! The children shared some of their favourite books with our Year 3 pupils and talked about why they love reading.

📚✨ Reading for Pleasure in Action! ✨📚 This week we are celebrating Harry in Year 3, who has taken his love of reading one step further! Inspired by the books he’s recently enjoyed, Harry has written his own book. What an amazing achievement! ✍️📖

📚✨ A big thank you to our wonderful librarian, Mrs Lovely, for updating our Author of the Term display! This term, we’re celebrating the brilliant Cressida Cowell, author of the much-loved How to Train Your Dragon series and The Wizards of Once. 🐉⚡️

Year 5 loved their book talk session in the library this morning. 📚

Our Year 5 children had a great morning meeting the author Cressida Cowell. They learnt lots about who inspired her to write her books, especially how to train a dragon and they even got chance to hear an extract from her new book. 🐉 📖

We had three authors visit our children today to tell them about the books they have written. Children from every class were delighted to have the opportunity to ask the authors questions to find out more about their books.
