Governments aren’t failing the working class because they can’t, they’re failing because they’ve handed power to oligarchs and vultures in the financial markets. They haven’t lost their monetary power. They’ve surrendered it. And the working class is being told to accept austerity while the financial elite feast on a system designed to serve them.
