If you're going to be a responsible owner paying for/agreeing to the terms of that license shouldn't be an issue. Then less will end up in the pound.

Pitbulls like a lot of large breeds can do serious/fatal damage if not raised properly. To adopt an adult Pitbull with no input/knowledge to/of their upbringing is literally Russian roulette.
