I've written this at The Athletic but Scott Arniel made it explicitly clear today: the #NHLJets plan heading into the season was for Elias Salomonsson to be an AHL player. They viewed him as 2026-27 NHL help, not the top four option developing before our eyes now.

I’m a comic collector, but I’m picky about what I buy. I love backing indie and Kickstarter books because they usually print just enough to fulfill orders,which means you actually know how rare your copy is. Some are even numbered and signed. Big publishers, on the other hand, tend to overprint like crazy since it cost next to nothing to do just that. So even when something is marketed as “limited,” it’s often nowhere near as rare as it sounds and they NEVER tell you what is actually printed. This has been proven over and over. Kickstarters give you more transparency. The big guys give you a bit of a guessing game. This is my experience. Love to hear yours.
