Someone i follow on Letterboxd posted a review of Backrooms that is truly confusing me. Can't tell if they were high while watching it or if I watched it with my eyes closed, but they're raving about things that didn't actually happen in the movie as far as I saw. I'm so confused

@ritualeclipse @notyourseed Yeah I think CR is at it's best when it just lets us watch the table. It's fine that they aren't live anymore, but it's better when they film it like it is

@RandomPenguin @notyourseed Yeah with the close up apart of the value of watching ttrpgs is seeing the reactions of everyone’s faces and that it apart of the performance that gets cut sometimes

i think where starkid and critical role and smosh and all these youtube groups are starting to go wrong is they think that everyone wants them to constantly up their production value when in reality people started liking a lot of these things BECAUSE they are less overproduced

@AbiiMaryy It is weird. But you guys get meet and greet before the show which LA doesn't ever have, so maybe that makes people think "oh, they're open ti meeting fans!"

@RandomPenguin the way they edit the proshots now genuinely makes me crazy 😭 original tgwdlm was peak when they only had like 2 insert shots and there was a good reason for them vs now they’re spending so much extra time filming and it makes it look cheaper

I still feel torn about whether I want to attend the live show tomorrow. Like I know I’ll have fun, but I stopped watching C3 around episode 80 and won’t really know what’s going on…but I also have post-MomoCon blues like crazy and want to see the cast again though omg 😔
