Follow up: It seems open-interpretation is actually alive and well, the community is healing and becoming more accepting of different views! mostly outside of X at least. Hope is not lost and I’m feeling more validated than ever!

@jbasuka1 And I'm sorry that we disagree on this, its pretty common place for the audience of art to have different interpretations of subtext and clues, I don't believe that Goose intended to hard confirm anything, she left the clues vague for a reason after all

@Randomolisher I'm sorry but tfem Jax is NOT an interpretation. Interpretation is when the author or creator specifically says its up to interpretation. Which Goose did NOT. Goose as the tadc god specifically CONFIRMED TFEM JAX. Simple as that.

Jax being “confirmed” through a random art post on bluesky to be trans has destroyed this community, no more room for different interpretations, no nonbinary Jax, no gender fluid Jax, no cis Jax, only trans readings allowed. I don’t believe this was Goose’s intention in the end.

I think if the transgender "subtext" in TADC is so obvious to trans people, that it's questionable if it's even subtext, yet so subtle to cis people that some of them don't get it, it actually hit a good balance in my opinion

How come when I wanna talk about the show itself or related things to the show nobody sees it, but my opinion that’s clearly unpopular here on X-formerly-known-as-Twitter gets spread to people’s timelines like wildfire? I don’t wanna debate about Jax’s identity all the time

It's funny that before Goose said Jax is "trans", people already disrespected him, drew and theorized about him being trans. Now that she has "confirmed" it, the same people are attacking others for having a different headcanon and drawing him as straight.
