Today was officially my worst day on Polymarket. I usually harvest impatience premiums. Today, while $SPY was around 750 and already down 1.5% from the open, I bought the usual "SPY won't hit 740 and 735" bets at 95 cents. It literally went to zero. SPY dumped another 1%+ and obliterated my position. It’s wild how SPY erased 3 weeks of gains in just a single day. I definitely wasn’t ready for it. Lesson learned / The Hedge:The best way to protect yourself in these daily farming scenarios is to short SPY on another platform (funded/futures account). If it hits your level, you lose the Polymarket capital, but the massive move compensates for the loss. If you’re lucky and it bounces right before the level (e.g., 740.1), you capture both profits. This is the risk of doing a $100 daily farm. I've been doing this for a month on this account, and luckily I'm still in net profit overall. I’ll keep going, but with smaller targets and maybe only entering in the final hour of trading. Stay safe out there. Your capital at risk.
