Neymar can never be considered one of the all time greats. He left Barca for money aged 24 and doesn’t have a single memorable moment in his career after that point. Never showed up when it truly mattered for club or country after the age of 24. Yeah he might have been good against small French sides who were the equivalent quality of championship football, but no one cares about that, the big stage is all that matters and Neymar didn’t show up

Now they want to compare internationals when Neymar has 26 more goals internationally, more World Cup goals and more goals in continental tournaments also gave Brazil their first ever Olympic Gold while Rooney was fighting with Chelsea and Liverpool players on international duty

The Overlap opinions on Neymar. Just admit you never watched him ffs🤦♂️

Manchester United: The Art of 7

My issue with Neymar discourse is despite him being an all timer talent, he is never held to those standards. It's never his fault he didn't win the Ballon d'or, it's not his fault PSG couldn't win the UCL, it's not his fault Brazil couldn't win as well. No standards just vibes.

He’s not nearly as good as his fans or purists think he is. Ranks objectively lower than Benzema and Salah. But he’s above Rooney.

"Neymar peaked higher than anyone in the Prem"

The only Englishman that ACTUALLY knows ball (just don't mind what Micah said)

If you pretend Messi and his brother doesn’t exist, Neymar is hands down the best player of his generation.

Wright is interesting cause he’s having Hazard over Neymar but flat out said no to Salah. Keane started bringing likeability into it, which is ironic. Rooney surprised me. Jill Scott… Anyway. Simply put, Neymar didn’t play in the Prem. If he did and his career went exactly the same, these convos wouldn’t happen.
