I introduced House Bill 2272 to exempt Luzerne County from the enhanced vehicle emission inspection and maintenance program. It has become antiquated over time with more fuel-efficient vehicles, so it's unnecessary to subject residents to the added costs of the program.

It was my honor to recognize Trevor Dietz with a citation from the PA House of Representatives for obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout – an achievement few young men reach. Trevor is a member of Troop 17, and his Eagle Scout ceremony was on Dec. 21, 2025. Congratulations, Trevor!

It was great having my nephew, Mark, visit me for the day in Harrisburg earlier this week. He came at the right time with the Capitol fully decked out for the holidays!

I joined some colleagues today at a press conference to support Aiden’s Law, which would create a Purple Alert system in PA to provide rapid notifications to law enforcement and the public when a person with cognitive, intellectual or developmental disabilities goes missing.

Please know that I am continuing to fight for our district when it comes to the issue of the proposed PPL Transmission Line Project. Just last week, I sent this letter to the PUC.

Congratulations to Jacob Bedosky from Troop 17 in the Columbia/Montour Council, who has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting America. Jacob’s Eagle Scout service project was to design and build an outdoor classroom patio at Northwest Area High School.

Two of my staffers attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Valley Barber Club at 647 Pa-93 in Sugarloaf. Owner Stephen Barna and barbers Colin Crooks and Ryan Zamonas are doing a fantastic job! It is always great to welcome new businesses to the community!

I attended a fun celebration of birthdays at the Village at Greenbriar in Dallas yesterday. We were recognizing attendees in their 90s and beyond with certificates, refreshments and live music. I also got to recognize my aunt (pictured in blue) while I was there!

Don't forget, tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 8, we have our electronics recycling event at the Luzerne County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Mamoth Recycling. I hope to see you there!

Nothing is better than recognizing youth in our district who do something extraordinary! Lily Spaide, from Conyngham, is one of those youths. Watch the video to see what she did.

Last week, I toured Charis Academy, a Christian school in Hazleton attended by students from across the area, including many from my district. Thank you to directors Michael Screenock, Kelly Knowlden and Mike Jarrell for welcoming me.

As I said at my town hall last night: “I’m with you to the bitter end” on the issues of data center expansion and PPL’s 500kv power line proposal. This was only the first of many opportunities to come for my constituents to speak out as I confront these issues with you.

This weekend, I joined White Haven VFW Post 6615’s annual block shoot in Foster Township. While there, I spoke with members about veterans’ issues, the non-profit work they do and how my office can support them. Special thanks to Commander Missy Dimmitt and members for having me!

Earlier this week, I signed discharge resolutions to bring two pieces of legislation up for a vote in the House to protect women in sports (Senate Bill 9) and help bring down energy prices (Senate Bill 186). I will keep you updated on their progress.

This week, I joined Reps. Marc Anderson, Joe D'Orsie and Barb Gleim to participate in a legislative town hall hosted by Moms for Liberty. Together, we discussed legislation and answered questions about parental rights and school choice, two issues that are deeply important to me.

Thanks to Kelly King and Gary Perna of Job Corps for inviting me to speak to the student governments of the Red Rock and Keystone campuses. We had a lively discussion and some great Q&A . Also, thank you to Sugarloaf Twp Manager Liz Tolan for opening her meeting room to us.
