“They got money for wars, but can’t feed the poor.” — Tupac said it years ago… and here we are. The Pentagon is now asking for an additional $200 BILLION for this war. We always find the money for war. But when it comes to housing, healthcare, or feeding people? Suddenly it’s crickets.

Donald Trump is corrupt — always has been, always will be. Republicans are in here claiming the attack on Venezuela was lawful… but if another country decided to come after Trump over the Epstein files, they’d be outraged. Don’t let them play in your face — this is selective outrage.

Trump-appointed Counterterrorism Director Joe Kent and I don’t agree on much — and I definitely don’t share his ideology. But when even he can’t, in “good conscience,” defend this administration’s rogue actions, that should tell you everything you need to know. This war is illegal. It’s costing us billions, American soldiers have died — and Trump has once again lied to the American people.

While they were busy cutting SNAP and health care for working families, Pete Hegseth spent $2 million on King Crab, nearly $7 million on Lobster Tails, and nearly $100,000 on a Grand Piano in the month of September. This is where your taxpayer dollars are going. Isn’t this supposed to be the Administration that’s targeting “waste, fraud, and abuse”?!? Make it make sense.

While Americans spent the weekend watching gas prices rise because of his illegal war with Iran, Donald Trump spent the weekend golfing. America’s sons and daughters are being put in harms way because of his rogue and reckless actions, and this is how he is spending his time. This sure doesn’t look like “America first” to me.

America just lost 92,000 jobs as gas prices rise because of Trump’s war in Iran. He promised lower costs and no new wars — but Americans are losing jobs and footing the bill for his illegal war instead.

Republicans in Congress once again refused to find their backbone and stand up to Donald Trump — giving him the green light to drag this country deeper into another dangerous, endless war in the Middle East. Donald Trump went around Congress to start a war with Iran — a war that has already resulted in the deaths of six American soldiers. He lied when he said he wouldn’t start new wars, and he lied when he promised to make life more affordable. Now, here we are in the middle of a dangerous war costing taxpayers at least $1 billion a day, while many Americans are struggling to afford groceries, healthcare, and basic necessities. So I have to ask: when will it finally be enough for them to stand up to Donald Trump and put the American people first?

Kristi Noem will go down as the worst DHS Secretary in American history. She has been completely complicit in the chaos unfolding at ICE, where deaths in custody have increased by 200% under her so-called leadership. Frankly, she should’ve been gone a long time ago — and she will not be missed. Trump’s deportation agenda has always been about cruelty and the weaponization of fear. So replacing Kristi Noem alone is not enough. Until we see actual change to the policies, procedures, and accountability within ICE, this firing is only performative.

We, the people, have been frustrated with Kristi Noem for a long time now. It’s time for her to go.

Kristi Noem will be remembered as the worst DHS Secretary in American history. She has lost all credibility with the American people. She needs to be impeached.

I am back in D.C. to hear from cruel Kristi Noem on why she is complicit in the chaos happening at DHS, vote on a War Powers Resolution to rein Donald Trump in, and vote against a DHS funding bill that does nothing to address the reckless actions we’re seeing from ICE. The work continues.

Happy Women’s History Month! Here’s to the Texas women who refused to be sidelined and made history anyway.

My heart breaks for the three service members who have lost their lives, and I am praying for those who were wounded. America’s sons and daughters are being put in harm’s way because of Donald Trump’s illegal war. Congress must act to rein in Donald Trump before more lives are lost.

I am heartbroken by yet another mass shooting in this country. Families woke up today to unimaginable grief after what should’ve been a normal night out in Austin turned into tragedy. I am praying for all families impacted and those still in critical condition. Americans should not have to fear sending their children to school, going to the mall, or enjoying a night out. We should all be able to live our lives without the constant fear of gun violence. I remain committed to serious, common-sense action to keep our communities safe.

Mike Johnson needs to call the House back to D.C. immediately so that we can pass a War Powers Resolution. Donald Trump is completely out of control and must be reined in. Americans asked for lower prices, not reckless wars.

The self-proclaimed “President of peace” is once again starting illegal wars without Congressional authorization. This is not what the American people asked for. Time and time again, Trump has proven that he is not interested in — or capable of — putting “America First.” Our soldiers will have to put their lives on the line to defend his reckless decisions. Congress must pass a War Powers Resolution to rein in this dangerous overreach before more damage is done.

Today marks 14 years since 17-year-old, unarmed Trayvon Martin was shot and killed while walking home. 14 years later, we’re still demanding a country where our children can walk home in peace — without being treated like a threat.
