HOT TAKE 🔥, I'm the luckiest man in the world: - We've been together 9 years and we're still in the honeymoon phase - I proposed in negative degree weather and she didn't dump me immediately - She loves me even though I'm no longer verified - SHE SAID YES!!!! @_jennyfish

@SeanRossSapp Is Triple H ever going to get a Wrestlemania where creative plans aren't changed by people above him?

Was Wrestlemania 39 the last time we saw a WrestleMania under Triple H's full creative control?
Blake “Axe” Avignon@bobby_s_axelrod

.@TKOGrp President Mark Shapiro told a University of Alabama class that TKO has full control over @WWE creative. He defended the increase in celebrity involvement (@LoganPaul, @PatMcAfeeShow, @markwahlberg) as a growth strategy, while admitting it may alienate parts of the fanbase. Seems like this is the trade-off they’re willing to make as they continue forward. 🎥: u/South-Persimmon-5342 via @Reddit

@Rimpsanity @robertflorence Cause in the harry potter world, Quidditch is a real sport. But in the real world, its not. Thus making it a FICTIONAL SPORT in a FICTIONAL WORLD which is just like pro wrestling.

So, the new (and probably future) WWE Wrestlemania. You cannot broadcast wrestling like it’s a sport. That’s a fundamental misunderstanding of what pro wrestling is and what pro wrestling fans want. Sport fans will suffer extended advertising segments because they are invested in the result - and the anticipation of that result. In sport the result is everything. You’ll wade through all kinds of slop to find out who’s making history this time. Wrestling fans are fans of stories! We want a backstory we can believe in, all the bells and whistles for the final chapter (no pre-match video package? REALLY?) and we want a satisfying payoff from bell to bell. We want good, well told stories, in the ring and out. And plenty of them! You think we’ll keep tuning in just to find out “who wins?” Good luck with that one.

@Mid_NightCheese @robertflorence Actually quidditch is a sport now, people play at colleges all the time but that is beside the point. In the Harry Potter world specifically, that isn't performed in front of an audience. There are no records, and no journalist goes to cover it. Wrestling has all of that

@Rimpsanity @robertflorence Is Quidditch a real sport? No, its a fictional sport used in the Harry Potter Universe. Thats what pro wrestling is. Its made up, it wouldn't exist if people didn't come to the carnival to watch your local drunk fight a strong man.

@Mid_NightCheese @robertflorence You have to admit they have way more in common than not. Both have: athletes, commentary teams, championships, win and losses, are performed live, fans, require gear for safety, can cause injuries, are on ESPN, hell you can win an ESPY for wrestling!

@Rimpsanity @robertflorence Not its not bro. You clearly just want it to be a sport. But these are fictional characters in a fictional world telling you a story. Not knowing the ending of a book or movie doesn't mean you are not enjoying the ride. Win or lose, the story is moving forward.

@Mid_NightCheese @robertflorence Sure but doesn't what you just said apply to wrestling too? You don't know who's going to win between Angle and Mysterio either. The outcome may be predetermined but that doesn't mean you know what will happen. You're watching athletes perform and to see who will win. It is sport

@Rimpsanity @robertflorence I watch the packers because I don't know who will win, and who will win is based on the skills of the players. If Rey Mysterio can beat Kurt Angle and Randy Orton while being 5'4. Then ANYTHING can happen because the story dictates it.

@Mid_NightCheese @robertflorence Isn't that why people watch sports too? Because it's fun and entertaining? Fans of wrestling and sports watch their product because they're invested in their favorite teams/athletes. They want to be entertained by what they're watching and care enough about the outcome to watch.

@Rimpsanity @robertflorence Wins and losses only serve the story being told. Its to move a character to a new story, or have a heel win and continue the story. We watch for the same reasons why we watch any other tv show. Because its fun, and entertaining. But its not a sport.

@Countryboi567 I don't know, I guess I'm used to him being on camera for the stuff he produces lol. But now that I think about it that match did have that "Bloodline era" feel to it

@Mid_NightCheese @robertflorence I disagree. If wins and losses are the only thing that matters in sports why do people care about stats or fights that might break out during the game? If wins and losses don't matter to wrestling fans why do they cheer when their favorite wins? Or boo when they lose?

@Rimpsanity @robertflorence Wrong. Personal stories build hype for the game, but stop when the game is happening. If you care about wins and losses in pro wrestling, you don't know how to watch the FICTIONAL TV SHOW. Unless you think the Undertaker is a real dead man.

Great Night 2. If Night 1 was a C, tonight was an A-. Maybe an A. Main event was fantastic as well. I wonder if there's an explanation for why Night 2 was so stacked compared to last night. #WrestleMania
