This tweet brought out a few underage marathon fanboys to call me out for complaining about gear discrepancy when its a perfectly valid thing to complain about if it happens 3 times in a row.
Its like getting invaded in dark souls by a chaos +5 rapier invader when you are level 20 in the undead burg and dying over and over. I THINK that is enough to warrant a fucking SINGLE tweet complaining about it.
But no these underage chimps would also defend that and tell me to ravioli step backstab cancel escape pivot chainstab the invader instead and to "get good" "skill issue"

Also tried Marathon last night and my worries were validated. Every raid I went into I ran into squads with maxed out gear and it was just objectively impossible to kill them with the TTK in that game being the highest TTK in the last decade of FPS. Even if we were to get the jump on the opposing squad, their max gear would let them turn around and kill us in a single burst while we continue expending ammo on them That type of gear discrepancy will kill that game very soon, the same exact thing happened to The Cycle Frontier and it will happen with Marathon. People will find ways to twink and just kill for pleasure at unfair advantages. This is just common video game player behavior. hard pass

@OnlyAfroGames My first exposure to this genera was watching a former friend play Dark and Darker and I immediately recognized this as a major issue of extraction pvpve games. It seems to be a very fragile balance
I think the only thing resembling it Ive ever played was Division 1 Dark Zone

Her team is my current strongest, but my Evernight/Castorice team will prolly be stronger once I get Hyacine, whos first banner I skipped to save for Cipher.

@PatStaresAt It handles secrets super well, but because each roll of a world only has a few dungeons, if you want something specific you sometimes have to re-roll a world multiple times to get it
Some items require you to get 2+ dungeons in the same roll.
