Staff @SilverCreekPS tonight are thinking of all @SilverCreekPS families waiting to hear from loved ones in Syria and Turkiye after the devastating earthquake.

Today, @SilverCreekPS Eco Club members worked on cardboard ‘paper only’ lids to stop any food waste from going into our recycling bins during lunch and snack. Building awareness through announcements, games and initiatives like this, we hope to make a big difference.

Our final Let’s Skate session for @SilverCreekPS grade fives happened this morning, and while they’re sad it’s over, the hot chocolate waiting for them from @alrm2901 made up for the brisk winter walk and had them smiling. Thanks @Joanne30249079 for the assist!

Math today involved making banana bread as gr 5’s learned that very ripe bananas left from Breakfast Club could be put to good use. Earlier in the week we froze them, found a recipe, discussed the different ways that recipes use math. Today, made the bread. @SilverCreekPS

Departed #GrandCanyon in a snowstorm yesterday, with closed roads making a two hour trip almost five! Page, however, was worth it. #AntelopeCanyon & Glen Canyon Dam Overlook, close to the Utah border, are stunning. Off to Flagstaff this aft.
