My first hike, I picked Patagonia. 15 miles, 9 hours. Full loop from Río de las Vuelt, near the northern trailhead just outside El Chaltén, climb up past Laguna Capri, continue to the Mirador Maestri viewpoint, then push up the steep final ascent to Laguna de los Tres at the base of Mount Fitz Roy. On the return, the loop brings you back into El Chaltén via a different southern path, dropping you right into the town center. Thank goodness for the Solana windbreaker merch I got from Breakpoint Amsterdam. It really came in handy for this trip.
