JUST IN: Atlassian cuts 1,600 jobs, redirecting resources to AI and enterprise sales

Bloated patches: LM generated solutions of SWE-bench tasks are consistently longer than human-written gold solutions (and it's not just comments) 🧵

When I was single and young (2+ decades ago), I wanted to go out with Aishwarya Rai. From whatever little you guys know of me, you can understand this was pure fantasy. I did not have a snowball's chance in hell. This is not because Ms. Rai had a license Raj system for her time. This is because her time was scarce and she chose to give it to folks who she thought deserved it.

The all-new Sarvam is here. Designed for all of India. sarvam.ai/brand

i don’t think i’ll be taking indian clients anymore. here’s why. right now i’m building almost the same product for two clients. one is from the US. one is from India. the us client is clear. he explains what he wants. we agree on scope. i build it. once a feature is done, it’s done. if there’s a new idea, we treat it as a new request. simple. the indian client? different story. we finish a feature, and a week later he wants changes. then more tweaks. then “small” updates. things we already closed suddenly reopen. again and again. it’s not even about nationality tbh. it’s about clarity and respect for work. one client values structure. the other keeps moving the goalpost. that’s exhausting. so yeah, from now on i’m updating my contracts. clear scope. clear revisions. clear boundaries. no more endless back and forth. not making this mistake again.
