So many beautiful by-the-wind sailors or Velella velella washing up in Cornwall at the moment and among them the violet sea snails or Janthina Janthina that feed on them. Can't recall when we last saw so many by-the-wind sailors - there must be millions.

Worried that the council’s answer to this thread is a little vehicle spraying pesticide around Reigate forever.

@SurreyCouncil can you clarify what is going on here? Reports of indiscriminate spraying in #woodhatch - surely removal of #weeds from culverts, ditches, pavements etc. warrants only precisely targeted #herbicide use, if any? #weedkiller should be the absolute last resort.
