Post Brain Tumour surgery MRI's have been completed and without issue or incident. Seb will get annual ones going forward. Everything else recovery based is now just based around mobility and physio. Charity events next year, more to follow regarding that.

Not done an update since September but Sebs recovery has now essentially been completed & the only things left are physio through school, orthotics, and this is regarding a wearable wrist cast, to assist with the weakness on his left side.

Post surgery 3 month MRI also completed. Zero signs of any issues. Overall recovery is complete. No signs of long term effects. Tumour removal was 100% successful. No remnants left. Pilocytic astrocytoma at a grade 1 level, benign. Home recovery for Seb now completed.

Physio almost complete. Majority of physio is now limited to small hand exercises to assist with the slightly weakened left side of the body. No post surgery support systems required. Independent walking is now common & straightforward.

Seb returned to school after the summer holidays. This was a major step. Huge emotional time overall. Communication, interaction and independence have all full returned. Some weaker moments with mobility but reliance on adult support is almost no existent.

Current update as of 15th September. Home bed, winch and hoist no longer required due to constant improvement and progress with Sebs physio. Eating, walking, talking have all returned. Smaller mobility chair still used but Seb is fiercely independent and will want to walk.

Last day at LCH. Last day on L52. 8th August. Big thank you to all the staff at @Leeds_Childrens.

Home! 2nd weekend visit at home. Significant improvement across the board. Movement, communication speech, swallowing and eating. Weaker left side mobility. Home winch and wheelchair delivered.

A few days before first transport weekend visit back home. Seb was talking and showing huge signs regarding physical recovery and communication. Previous chest infection and C Diff completely gone. Nox Box used overnight to view breathing data.

Post surgery. Huge improvement with speech, mobility, feeding (Feed line temporarily removed) Seb is now designated as a stable patient. Ambulance transport for first weekend home visit.

Post surgery. 12th July. Changed to a more mobile chair as significant improvement noted with physio. Feed tube still in as swallowing & chewing still not full returned. Movement massively improved, left side weaker than right.

Post surgery on L52 at Leeds Children's Hospital. Heavily padded mobility chair used to aid with walking and assisting with posture. Feed tube line in. Posterior Fossa Syndrome effecting swallowing and eating.

Final day in ICU/HDU. Posterior Fossa Syndrome in full effect. No speech, limited mobility, no eye movements, no mouth movements.

Seb, post brain surgery 13th June. Neck line, catheter, Taramdol and Oxy. High temperature due to Posterior Fossa Syndrome making it difficult to regulate his temperature.

Seb, pre surgery, June 11th. Fluid drain procedure set up. Brain surgery booked for 13th June.
