Foundation for SCPS

Last Friday was our last Foundation Board meeting for the school year. We shared the impact we've made in our schools during the 2024-2025 school year, recognized our Executive Committee and outgoing board members, and welcomed in our new chair, Holton Mills!

Thank you AAA for the $10K donation and overall support of the Foundation. AAA not only financially gives each year but also does team building volunteer days at our teacher supply store, has employees that are mentors in our Take Stock in Children program, and more!

Last week the Foundation awarded the remaining funds for our Grants for Great Ideas Cycle II. We were able to fund 17 projects for a total of $19,485.32!

Today's #ThankfulThursday goes out to the Chelsey Magruder Foundation for their generous $5,000 donation to our TSIC program! This will help our 115 at-risk students by providing mentorship, college prep, and vital workshops!

With the new school year right around the corner, we want to give a huge shoutout to Veritas Technologies LLC who recently donated 124 laptops to the Seminole High School Sanford 9th grade center to support their students!

We want to give a HUGE thank you to the Rotary Club Seminole South for their $50K donation over the spring to establish an endowed scholarship fund. This scholarship will continue the club's legacy of supporting seniors scholarships and will be awarded annually to a Lyman senior!
