Sneaky Leprechauns visited MTP kindergarteners today. Mr. Ierano and students found a trail of gold dust, a bit of a mess, shiny gold coins, and much more. Unfortunately, they were not able to catch one. Better luck next year! @SmithtownCSD @SCSD_MTP

Dr. Munk visited kindergarteners today to talk about dental health. They learned about different foods that are good for their teeth, and to brush twice a day for two minutes. They practiced dental hygiene by brushing Dudley the Dinosaur’s teeth too! @SmithtownCSD @SmithtownCSD

MTP 3rd grade Student Council Members visited Angela's House, They toured the house, looking for a perfect place to return to donate & plant a vegetable/herb garden, for residents to enjoy. As a thank you, Angela's house staff gifted all beatuful T-shirts!@SmithtownCSD @SCSD_MTP

MTP, Principal Joseph Ierano kicked off 2026 PARP with bingo today! All participating in PARP, will do extra reading for three weeks & keep a log. Logs will be tallied & the winning grade level will enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast cooked by Mr. Ierano! @SmithtownCSD @SCSD_MTP

Second graders received a larger than life education this morning, thanks to a 19-ft inflatable globe! Courtesy of Western Suffolk Boces, students learned about geography & habitats from around the world! @SmithtownCSD @SCSD_MTP

4th graders enjoyed a presentation by Journeys into American Indian Territory. It is an authentic Native American experience which focuses on Native American life while connecting with other themes such as sustainability and character education. @SmithtownCSD @SCSD_MTP

MTP fifth grade students celebrated Black History Month by researching, honoring and presenting the contributions, accomplishments, and lives that African Americans have made throughout history, and how they have helped shape our nation. Great Work! @SmithtownCSD @SCSD_MTP

MTP students celebrated the 100th day of school today. Students dressed up as if they were a hundred years old, made 100-day hats, shirts, and even created portraits of themselves being a 100 years old. It was a great day back to school! @SmithtownCSD @SCSD_MTP

4th graders REALLY got into their class biography project. Students looked amazing while presenting their biographies about a famous person who made a historical impact. Henry Ford, Jane Goodall, & Walt Disney were just some of the subjects students chose. @SmithtownCSD @SCSD_MTP

Next month, students and families will return the favor when they attend an SBU basketball game on
