New BIP361 proposal authored by Jameson Lopp. NACK! Hard no. First off, Lopp shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Bitcoin upgrades, pull requests, or anthing touching the asset. Secondly, freezing the coins of early addresses reduces Bitcoin's decentralization theme forever.

Today I am leaving the Bear Chat. It was a fun journey, riding Bitcoin all the way down from over 100k to 60k. But at this point, it’s becoming harder and harder to remain bearish. So many signs are pointing to the fact that we are far closer to the bottom than to the top. From Bitcoin critics coming out of hiding to dunk on the asset to family members asking if it’s really going to zero this time. The hatred and laughter being directed towards Bitcoin is something I haven’t seen since under 20k four years ago. Is it possible we go lower than 60k? Sure. But if we do, I don’t expect it to go *that* much lower. The risk/reward just doesn’t seem worth it to me anymore. Bear Chat isn’t meant to be a permanent destination, but a stop along the way. It helped me achieve what I was looking for, which was increasing my BTC net-worth 🙏 Best of luck to all the other Bear Chat members. Y’all were bearish when everyone else was bulltarded. The Bear Chat called the cycle top and no one can take that away from us!!! 💪🐻
