The more I reflect on what happened in Amsterdam the stranger it seems. A racist team who have a reputation for hate speech come to Amsterdam during a genocide and engage in acts of racism and violence against the local population. They are accompanied by Mossad agents. All this happens under the increased success of Islamophobic Geert Wilders and the PVV. The media, not just in the Netherlands but in Europe and North America publish what looks like an Israeli press release using incendiary language about pogroms and Kristelnacht. Politicians around the world immediately and uncritically embraced this rhetoric and say nothing of pro-genocidal chants. They media mislabel on the ground journalism by Dutch photographer @iAnnetnl to minimise Israeli violence. They ignore evidence from other Dutch journalists like @OmeBender. Channels like Sky News even re-edit packages to maximise the narrative of antisemitism and minimise examples of anti-Arab racism. Dutch parliamentarians then wield propaganda by the Israeli diaspora affairs as if it constitutes evidence. Many media outlets still haven't corrected the record about what happened, from the BBC to WSJ and Sky. It's disturbing and sinister, and shouldn't be allowed to slide.

This is a massive media scandal. @SkyNews posted a video accurately describing what happened in Amsterdam. It described violence perpetrated by Israeli football hooligans, and their hideous racism. They then deleted it. This is the original.

Genuine question to @Aegis_Trust: Any plans to do anything on Israel's genocide in Palestine? All I can find is article's by your founder talking about how Hamas must be held to account. No comdemnation of Israel or call to action to stop the genocide. I hope I have missed it.

@BarristerSecret Yet when I google "Prisioners of conscience" I get: "Prisoners of conscience are persons imprisoned for the peaceful expression of their political, religious, or other conscientiously held beliefs." The word peaceful surely differentates the two.

This is the point. By the logic of JSO, those imprisoned for their roles in the riots are also prisoners of conscience, imprisoned for nothing more than their beliefs.

Legal note: Nobody is “in prison for demanding an end to new oil and gas”. Literally nobody. Throwing paint over historic artworks does not make you “a prisoner of conscience”. It just makes you guilty of criminal damage.

@janelonsdale21 What did they think people are going to do next? They have managed to piss off pretty much the entire engaged membership. This is the type of thing that lead leads to entirely new boards.

Obviously really disappointed ... but to choose to ignore the numbers of votes for of a membership organisation whilst apparently listening is astounding. A choice was effectively made.
